Hobbies
I have a few things I like to do on my spare time. One of those things is playing pool. My parents have been on a pool team since as long as i can remember and they have taught me a few tricks to playing, and i happen to be pretty good. Another thing i like to do is go bowling. Although i do not bowl very often, I have been bowling since first grade. These are probably my two biggest hobbies, but there are also a few more that i have like playing video games and sports with my friends. These are just a few things i do on my spare time.

Hello Rodney, just thought I would through my two cents in on what you were saying about you’re hoboes. I to enjoy shutting pool and bowling don’t know if I would say that I’m that great at ether one but I still enjoy doing them. I used to be on a league as well in both bowling and pool. It just got to be too much time and money so, I had to quit. Now that I’m in college I don’t have much time to do anything. This sucks but I know in a few years that it will all be worth it in the end. I guess that old saying is true it’s time to work and not for play. I still do two of my other hoboes because they are my favorite things to do. One is hunting; I truly enjoy the rush that I get just waiting for something to come along for me to shut. The other thing that I love is fishing because it gives me a feeling of calmness. I believe that everyone should find something that they enjoy doing. This helps you to distress when needed and can also make life not seem so bad. So I would say to you keep doing what you love and always make time for yourself. Other than that I think I’m about done and can wrap this up. So good luck on this new paper and keep moving on. Well I thought I was done but, well now I am latter.
ReplyDeleteI occasionally play pool from time to time also. I happen to have a pool table in my basement. When we first got it, I would play all the time. Sometimes when no one wanted to play against me, I would play against my self; sounds pretty awkward right? I am not the best pool player there is but when I am on my game, I am pretty good myself. I think that it is kind of cool that your parents are on a pool team. I never knew there was any tricks in pool, I just thought it was always a mathematical game since you have to use your angles to hit the ball into the pocket. Reading this blog kind of makes me want to go play pool right now, although I have way to many other things that need to be done first. I used to bowl at the bowling alley in my home town as well. I was never the best at it, I think my highest score without bumpers is 75 or something like that, kind of embarrassing. I can remember when I was a little kid going to birthday parties at the bowling alley and that is mainly the only reason I ever went there. We have a bowling team at my high school and my friends keep trying to encourage me to join it because it is fun, but I just do not have the time to. As I grew older, I stopped going to the bowling alley, mainly because I had no one to go with and it did not seem very fun anymore (also like Tina said, it is pretty expensive). I am more of an outdoorsy person, so my hobbies differ from yours. I do not play video games and I never have. I have never been a fan of them but that is just my opinion. I do enjoy playing the occasional pick up game of football or so with my friends. We goof off more than play the sport though. We basically use it as bonding time. It seems like you have a pretty fun life outside of school!
