In Class Assignment 3

The hall was silent while she purred until a loud bang came from the attic. She ran up to the attic to see what happened, and she found that a window was broken. She could find no cause for it. She ran outside to find the culprit who put a hole in her house but to no avail. The perpertrator was gone. Her owner came out a few moments later, and she was frightened. Not only was their a burglar on the loose, but he had already struck there home. Who knows if he will strike again. Nothing was stolen, but Ms. Cheney still reported the robbery just like any other person would. The police said they would stake out her house for a couple of nights but thats the most they could do. Ms. Cheney was displeased. "How could the police just let a burglar get away" Ms. Cheney thought. She went back in the house, and went back to sleep. Outside in the bushes was a dark sillouhete of a man. Then he vanished.

What pushed me to college

About a year before college I was working at P&G for the sheet metal union out of Dayton, Oh. I was pushed into the job by my parents because it was a good paying job and they knew a few foremen, so it was  a cake job that payed well. All I did was sit around and watch people work and i made twelve twelve an hour. If i would have stuck with it for five years I would have been making twenty five dollars an hour although I would have been the one being watched working. I went three months working out a P&G until i had an accident. I was drilling a hole in a quarter inch thick piece of metal when the drill caught onto a bolt on the other side of the metal. It was jerked out of my hand, and spun around, and hit me in the mouth. There was blood everywhere, and I thought I completely lost my tooth. Luckily it only chipped my tooth in half, but I still had to get nine stitches in my bottom lip. After this freak accident I worked this job for another week until i finally quit. I no longer wanted to be anywhere near a construction site and I did not want to work for a gas station or a fast food restaurant. Although I did not want to go back to school. The fear of having a dead-end job pushed me in that direction. Four months after my accident I went to Rhodes State and did the "one stop" promotion. Although the financial aid gave me and my family a headache we got everything done and I started school the following fall.

In Class Assignment 2

A high liter, what fun those used to be in high school. Sitting throught all those dull courses in those musty rooms. taking notes while your arms are sticking to the paper. Highlighting the key points with a high liter. Although it was not the biggest neccesity in school itas important if someone didnt want to waste a lot of time studying. A highlighter was a tool used by those who wanted to succeed, and was foreign to those who took everything too lightly. Like those people who use the high liter, I want to succeed. I want to succed not only in school but in life.

In Class Assignment 1

Im not "afraid" of writing im just not very "enthusiastic" or "motivated". I dont know exactly "why" I am not motivated it may because when I was a kid my parents were not very enthused with what I did. The way I plan on getting through this "lack of motivation" is to strive for a good grade in this class and to remember that this class is helping me on a road to a life that I will be leading. One way to be creative is to be in depth with what I am writing, I will try not to leave out any detail and push the reader in to being in the story not only as a reader but as a character in the story.
